INTRODUCTION
Established in 2013 as the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, the department’s name was later changed to Communication & Media Studies in 2014 through the Board of Studies (BoS). Our department trains students for careers in communication and media-related skills, offering BS (Hons) and M. Phil programs. Our courses are designed to provide professional education and meet market requirements.
VISION AND MISSION
In today’s integrated media environment, our program prepares students to enter the globalized world of media. We aim to produce graduates with sound theoretical knowledge in Mass Communication & Media Studies, equipping them to be leaders in media and communication careers.
OBJECTIVES
- To produce graduates with sound theoretical knowledge in Mass Communication & Media Studies.
- To expose students to digital editing technologies and practical skills for precise reporting and editing across media platforms.
- To equip students with ethical and legal knowledge regarding content collection, production, and dissemination
ACHIEVEMENTS
Many of our graduated students are successfully serving in the media industry and other competitive departments, demonstrating the department’s commitment to producing skilled and employable graduates. Our department boasts a highly qualified faculty with expertise in various fields of communication and media studies, providing students with quality education and mentorship.
