INTRODUCTION
The Department of Political Science was established in the year Fall-2023 and is dedicated to understanding and teaching politics. The department designed and approved the scheme of study in its first Board of Studies meeting held on 11th July 2024.
The Department of Political Science provides students with a solid grasp on a range of topics both on national and international politics, governance systems, public policies, social movements, ideological systems, and diversity. Courses use a variety of research methodologies and analytical frameworks; stress to develop students’ written and oral communication skills.
The department prepares students to be effective and responsible citizens by employing the best teaching faculty and preparing students for higher studies as well as for many contemporary careers which require analytic thinking, excellent communication skills and the knowledge of sophisticated research methods.

We want to employ the best academics, and to ensure that the undergraduate program is designed to help students gain competency in the study of political science with excellent preparation for further study in graduate or professional schools as well as careers in government, business, and not-for-profit organizations.
OBJECTIVES
- To develop a comprehensive understanding of political theories, institutions, and processes at the local, national and global levels.
- To apply critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate political phenomena, public policies, and governance structures using evidence-based approaches.
- To exhibit ethical reasoning, promote civic engagement, and contribute to society by addressing political and social challenges responsibly and inclusively.
- To effectively communicate political ideas and findings through oral and written mediums.
- To enable students to link theory with practice by using real life examples and area studies for different regions.
